表达电影主要有2个英文单词：Film和Movie。

课本上这样讲的：Film是英式英语，在美国通常指胶片，Movie则是美式英语

在实际生活中，并没有区分太清楚，英国人用Movie的也大有人在，Film在美国也经常被指电影。

这2个单词的主要区别在于：凡是严肃一些的关于电影的表达用Film，比如： 电影产业：Film industry 电影史：Film history 戛纳电影节： Cannes International Film Festival，而Movie则偏重于指电影本身，一般会用在和朋友聊天的时候。

说到看电影，很多人See和Watch傻傻分不清楚，其实它们之间的区别很简单：

See: 去电影院看电影（Go to the theater)

Watch: 在家里看电影（At home)
